The "inverted six dial"

This dial designation is exclusively reserved for certain series of Daytona 16520 (known as Daytona "Zenith") at Rolex. Indeed, most of the time, on the small hour counter, the "6" is normally read at 6 o'clock. Present on the early series of dials from 1988 to 1993, namely the R, L, E, N, X, C, and S series, the "six" is then read as a "nine." The inverted 6 is a small nuance for collectors; we can observe that the examples featuring it generally sell for a higher price at auctions. The Daytona with an inverted 6 is part of the early series also known as the "Early Series."
