Rolex A.R.A.

Acronym for "Armada de la República Argentina" (Argentine Navy). The Argentine military placed orders with Rolex at various times. Several references have been found on the market, including Submariner, GMT Master, and Datejust models. Like watches produced for the French Navy or the Peruvian Air Force, for example, the back of these watches is either engraved with an issue number or a reference corresponding to official records, or the case back is engraved with the watch's serial number—or sometimes both. These military watches remain extremely rare and are now true collector's items.
